Home Owners Associations allow individual owners the use of common property and facilities and provide for a system of self-governance through an association. A positive and valuable HOA is generally one in which homeowners assume an active role, by attending association meetings, voting, paying dues, and by serving on committees and participating in group activities. It is involved owners who build the HOA and make it a community.
Often large-scale and master planned communities are able to offer residents more amenities and great features, but that also means they need more hands-on management to remain financially healthy and properly maintained. The City aims to strengthen the knowledge base of those serving on HOA boards. We want to provide our large-scale communities with strategic planning, as well as financial and asset management, so that they remain thriving and beautiful.
