Mark your calendars for free compost! OC Waste & Recycling is excited to host compost giveaways Saturday, November 4, from 7:30 a.m. to noon while supplies last.

The Irvine giveaway will take place at Bee Canyon Greenery at Frank R. Bowerman Landfill, 11002 Bee Canyon Access Road in Irvine.

Additional giveaways will take place at:

• Valencia Greenery at Olinda Alpha Landfill, 1942 N. Valencia Ave., Brea
• Capistrano Greenery at Prima Deshecha Landfill, 32250 Avenida La Pata, San Juan Capistrano

Only prefilled bags are available at the Brea location, while supplies last. Residents should bring a shovel and container or bag to fill at the Irvine and San Juan locations. Quantities are limited, staff will be onsite to assist.

Rain will cancel the event.
