The Irvine Animal Care Center invites the community to put their steps toward a meaningful cause by joining the 2026 Irvine Animal Care Center Virtual 5K. Whether walking, jogging, or running, participants can complete the race at their own pace and in any location.

Designed for all fitness levels, the Virtual 5K offers a flexible way to stay active while supporting a meaningful cause. Participants can complete the 5K on their own or alongside friends, family, and even pets, choosing their own route — whether on a trail, treadmill, or neighborhood walk. Every step helps support the care and well-being of homeless and adoptable animals at the Irvine Animal Care Center.

Registration is now open at irvineanimals.org/5k. The cost to register is $35, with all proceeds benefiting essential programs that provide medical care, enrichment, and adoption services. Those who complete the challenge by April 30 will receive an exclusive finisher’s medal and certificate. Pet participants can also sign up for an additional $8, earning their own commemorative medal for crossing the finish line alongside their humans.
