UCI Health and the City of Irvine are partnering for a series of blood drives which will be held at Great Park. A blood supply crisis is posing a concerning risk to patient care both locally and nationally. To address the great need for blood donations in Orange County, a UCI Health Blood Drive will take place from noon to 6 p.m. near the Great Park Visitors Center.
Appointments are suggested but not required, and walk-in's will be accepted.
In early 2021, the City of Irvine passed a resolution reaffirming Irvine's commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in our City and subsequently formed a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. As part of the committee's first campaign, “We Are Irvine,” the City regular hosts events that embrace and celebrate diversity and foster an environment that is inclusive of all cultures, races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, ages, abilities, perspectives, and ways of thinking.
