In honor of the City’s 50th anniversary and as part of the City’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative, the City of Irvine and South Coast Chinese Cultural Center are collaborating to offer the We Are Irvine: Living Resource Guide Series for Chinese-Irvine Newcomers, in Mandarin.
Join for the sixth lecture in the series November 4 from 7 to 9 p.m. via Zoom.
On January 1, 2022, all commercial businesses in the City of Irvine — including multi-unit residential dwellings — must comply with all State of California-mandated recycling and organic waste recycling provisions. Certain commercial businesses may qualify for waivers from these mandatory program requirements. Only businesses who have requested and received a waiver from the City can avoid mandated participation in recycling and organic waste recycling programs through a franchise-hauler program. Individual residents are not eligible for these waivers.
Irvine kids in K-8th grade, and their parents, are invited to attend a fun and informative Traffic STARS (Safety Training and Riding Skills) class where they will learn:
* Advice on traveling along safe routes
* Situational awareness
* Pedestrian safety
* Practical, emergency, and defensive riding
* Common courtesy skills
* Bicycle and equipment maintenance
