The City of Irvine's Sizzlin' Summer Concerts return to Mike Ward Community Park — Woodbridge with a series of six free family-friendly concerts. Bring a picnic basket or plan to purchase treats from gourmet food trucks.

On Sunday, July 28, at 5:30 p.m., the dynamic band The Country Club will perform the best of country's current hits, along with a few crowd favorites from other genres.

As an added bonus, guests are invited to kick up their boots and join a free intermission line dance instruction at 6:30 p.m.

Help support Marines and sailors of the City of Irvine's adopted Marine battalion from Camp Pendleton at the Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee Car Wash on Saturday, June 22, 9 a.m.–2 p.m., at the Lakeview Senior Center parking lot.

The Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee accepts donations to help underwrite the cost of supporting Marines and their families, and to provide them care packages and monetary support.

Grab your swimsuit, floatie, and family, and come on down to the pool for a movie. Swim and float while Incredibles 2 plays on the big screen. Lifeguards will be on duty. The Irvine Police Association presents the 35th Annual Concert on the Green & Fireworks Festival at Irvine High School. The day features live music, activities for children, a raffle with prizes, and a fireworks extravaganza. Food will be available for purchase at the event.

Adults and children of all swimming abilities are invited to participate on Friday, June 21, in the Super Swim Lesson, a worldwide effort to raise awareness for drowning prevention.

Arrive at 5:30 p.m. to sign up for the one-time lesson to be held at 6 p.m., then stay for the free recreation swim that includes a water slide, giant inflatable, and diving boards. At dusk, the movie Trolls plays on the big screen. Lifeguards will be on duty. For recreation swim, children 6 and younger must be accompanied by an adult one-on-one in the water. 

Join us for the 25th annual Studio Arts Festival on Saturday, June 1, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Heritage Community Park. The juried festival showcases Southern California artists and their original works of art for purchase in ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking, fiber, and glass.

The festival also features live music, art demonstrations, and food including ice cream sundaes served in handmade collectible ceramic bowls. Admission and parking are free.
