IRVINE, CA (Dec. 9, 2015): Bring the family out to play as the City of Irvine celebrates the grand reopening of Adventure Playground at University Community Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony

City of Irvine reservation permit categories are established to balance reservation requests, and a formal permitting process is administered to ensure equitable access for the following groups: private individuals, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and commercial entities. Priority is given to City of lrvine programs, services, and events.

After School Programs

Each middle school campus in Irvine has a dedicated staff to coordinate sports leagues, Teen Camp Days, leadership programs, service projects, and other fun activities. Some programs require registration.

Middle School Program Classes

 

Students can join the Youth Action Team (YAT) Club at their high school by registering online at yourirvine.org. Club meetings are during lunch and are held twice a month. Students attending Private, Online, or High Schools outside of Irvine can join the Virtual High School Youth Action Team (HSYAT) Club.   

The City of Irvine recognizes young people as valued and capable members of our community. The goal of the Middle School Program is to engage youth in positive social-recreational activities, on-campus prevention and education campaigns, and character development programs. Youth are encouraged to participate in the development and implementation of programs that focus on community service (Youth Action Team), personal development, and social recreation. Services are provided in cooperation with the Irvine Unified School District.

High School Youth Action Team

The High School Youth Action Team (HSYAT) provides high school students the opportunity to participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of services for their peers. The program consists of student representatives from local high schools who organize teen activities and represent their peers at various community groups.
