City of Irvine CEQA Manual

Below are links to environmental documents prepared pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), available for public review for projects currently in process. Links are also provided below for documentation of additional selected current projects of interest.

The Development Services division implement the policies and objectives of the community as set forth in the City of Irvine General Plan and Zoning Ordinance. This division also reviews proposed developments for consistency with the City's standards and policies relating to land use and preservation of the environment to ensure the quality of life will be maintained or enhanced for future generations. This division is also responsible for park planning, long range planning and regional and interagency coordination.

Open space and some recreational amenities are provided in the various villages of Irvine.

Neighborhood parks usually do not have public facilities or staff present. Picnic areas cannot be reserved and are available on a first-come, first-served basis for groups of 49 or less. Alcohol and vendors (e.g., caterers or entertainers) are not permitted.

The City of Irvine is dedicated to creating and promoting an awareness of our natural community, while encouraging behaviors that will ensure the preservation of our open space wilderness for generations to come. By engaging members of the community in positive outdoor recreational and educational experiences, we will manage and maintain Irvine’s open space preserve as a welcoming and valued part of our City.
