In deciding if a traffic signal will be an asset instead of a liability, Traffic Engineers evaluate nationally accepted warrants for traffic signals, both part of the State of California Traffic Manual and the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. The installation of a traffic signal should be considered if one or more of the warrants in the referenced manuals are met including:

Is the volume of vehicles entering an intersection creating confusion or congestion?

Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems convert sunlight into electricity which can then be used to power appliances in the home or be sold back to the grid. 

Homeowners and Businesses which install solar energy systems may be eligible for a variety of rebates, incentives, and tax credits.

Rebates for PG&E and for SCE customers have been exhausted and the program is closed.

These programs are administered through Southern California Edison (our local power utility) in conjunction the State of California (Go Solar California Program).

Plans
All proposed architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing and mechanical plans are required to be drawn to scale on prints.  Indicate the existing conditions, location, nature and extent of the proposed work in sufficient detail to demonstrate conformance to City codes and standards.
