On February 21, learn more about sucrose and the important role it plays in our health, along with the other compounds in plants that make life so sweet. Attendees receive super sweet beet seedlings to plant at home.

The City of Irvine, in partnership with Waste Management, is hosting a free paper shredding event on Saturday, July 17 at the Lakeview Senior Center. Irvine residents can safely and securely dispose of up to five banker-size file boxes (dimensions 24 inches x 12 inches) at a mobile shredding unit on-site. Event is first come, first served and will end when truck capacity is reached.
