City of Irvine

The Irvine Police Department (IPD) will be participating in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  

Community members can drive up and drop off unwanted medications at four designated locations in the City of Irvine. This free service, which allows the public to anonymously discard prescription medications, addresses a vital public safety and public health issue. The participating sites are:

Irvine Police Department, 1 Civic Center Plaza, in the parking lot.

Join gallerist and Painting in the Abstract curator Suzanne Walsh along with artist Fatemeh Burnes as they discuss gallery representation versus self-representation. The discussion will also focus on marketing techniques for artists and must-haves in the internet age. The event will conclude with a question-and-answer session.

Join two generations of artists as they discuss inspiration, setbacks and professional and creative triumphs as female abstract painters. The panel discussion will feature artists Jane Bauman, Maggie Tennesen, Suzanne Walsh and Andrea Welton.
