The City of Irvine will hold an electric gardening equipment demonstration May 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. on the front lawn of City Hall. The demonstration will be conducted by Dan Mabe, AGZA chief executive officer, a national leader in the transition from gasoline to electric lawn and garden equipment. The demonstration will cover topics such as:

  • Air quality benefits

  • Occupational health benefits

  • Noise reduction in neighborhoods

  • The range of electric equipment available

The Irvine Police Department is committed to protecting incarcerated persons in its holding facility from all forms of sexual abuse, including assaults or harassment. All reports of sexual abuse will be taken seriously and investigated fully, and those committing a crime will be held accountable whenever possible. Any person having information about sexual abuse of an inmate is encouraged to contact the Irvine Police Department Jail Administrator at 949-724-7094. All reports will be immediately sent to the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Coordinator.
