The City of Irvine will host a Drive-Thru Food Collection event on April 18, 10 a.m.-noon, at Irvine Civic Center. Community members are invited to donate non-perishable food items during this event, which is being hosted in observance of Ramadan. All donations support Families Forward, a nonprofit helping families in need in Orange County.
This is a drop-and-go event; all food items need to be in the trunk of your car and visitors are asked to remain in their vehicles the entire time. Donations most needed include:

Learn how to recycle your food and yard waste into garden gold to both nourish your garden and help the environment. The presenter will provide you with tips and resources, plus you will have the chance to ask questions regarding composting.

On April 20th, in honor of Earth Week, The City of Irvine will host a “Drive Electric Earth Day” webinar providing an overview of electric vehicles (EV) including the benefits of ownership, charging options, and available incentives. The webinar will be held from noon to 1 p.m.
