A special community meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21 will provide an update on the nation’s largest parkland project of 688 acres including the 194 acre Sports Park; the state’s largest Community Ice Facility; and ask those who attend to provide input about still-to-be-built segments of the Orange County Great Park.

Staff Development Day for School-Age Care and Education Professionals

Lakeview Senior Center, 20 Lake Road, Irvine

$16 for individuals living or working in Irvine; $21 for nonresidents. Light lunch provided.

This one-day professional development conference offers four one-hour workshop sessions for individuals working with children ages 5-12 years old.

The Irvine Animal Care Center is collecting items to support the Center’s foster care program. Supplies needed include: formula, bottles, blankets, gift cards, toys and more. Click here for a detailed wish list and link to the Amazon gift registry.  

Items may be dropped during the Center's operating hours.

The Northwood Gratitude and Honor Memorial was dedicated in 2010 as the first permanent memorial to honor every American fallen service member in Afghanistan and Iraq for their sacrifice in service to our country. The groundbreaking expansion project will include the extension of the plaza to include an additional pedestal with history of the Memorial and two benches.
