Purpose and Mission: The Health & Wellness Advisory Committee was established to support the City of Irvine’s expanding health and wellness efforts. Its mission is to review, advise, and collaborate on initiatives related to children, youth, and family programs, housing assistance, supportive services, and community wellness programming. The Committee serves as a liaison between the City and the community, promotes City events, shares community feedback, and reports annually on progress and accomplishments. By merging and expanding the responsibilities of the former Irvine Child Care Advisory Committee and Irvine Children, Youth, and Families Advisory Committee, the Health and Wellness Advisory Committee provides streamlined, comprehensive support aligned with the mission of the City's Office of Health and Wellness.
APPOINTMENTS BY CITY COUNCIL
The Committee is comprised of 11 voting members. Each member of the City Council, including the Mayor, shall appoint one member to the Committee. One (1) Member-At-Large shall be selected through a public recruitment to serve a term lasting no more than two years, and Irvine Unified School District, Tustin Unified School District, and Irvine Valley College will each appoint one member.
