Governor Issues Limited Stay at Home Order Beginning November 21 11/19/2020

Gov. Gavin Newsom and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) announced a limited Stay at Home Order requiring generally that non-essential work, movement and gatherings stop between 10 PM and 5 AM in counties in the purple tier beginning Saturday, November 21. 

Thanksgiving Meals for Seniors and Veterans 11/19/2020

The City of Irvine is hosting a Thanksgiving meal distribution to serve seniors, veterans, and their families. The meals will be provided by Orange County Third District Supervisor Donald P. Wagner, to support families who may be experiencing food insecurity as a result of COVID-19.

Honoring Irvine’s COVID-19 Victims 04/06/2021

The City of Irvine seeks to honor and remember its residents who have died from COVID-19 by establishing a memorial web page and video tribute. Family members who would like their loved one included in the remembrance may submit a photo and a quote honoring the resident via a dedicated web page. COVID-19 Resources

Waste Management Silverado Fire Update 11/05/2020

As a result of the Silverado Fire, the Frank R. Bowerman Landfill, located in the City of Irvine and owned and operated by the County of Orange (OC Waste & Recycling) has experienced significant damage and has been closed since Monday, October 26. Read the WM update here.

Veterans Day Virtual Ceremony 2020 11/11/2020

The City of Irvine hosts a special modified ceremony to pay tribute to our nation’s troops — past and present — and honor local veterans, veterans groups, and military organizations. The Veterans Day ceremony is presented online for the community to view at their convenience. 

Donate Toys to Support Military Families During the Holiday Season 11/02/2020

Join the City of Irvine and the Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee in brightening the season for military families. The Annual Toy Drive benefits families of Irvine’s adopted 2/11 Marine Battalion. Donations can be dropped off now through December 14 at various City facilities.
