Stay-At-Home Order Imposed for Southern California Region 12/05/2020

ICU capacity for the Southern California Region, which includes Irvine and Orange County, hit 12.5% on Saturday, December 5, triggering the State's new Regional Stay-at-Home order. The order went into effect on December 6 at 11:59 p.m.

Governor Newsom Issues Regional Stay-at-Home Order Pending ICU Capacity 12/03/2020

Governor Newsom issued a Regional Stay-at-Home Order for regions where hospital ICU capacity is 15% or lower. The state is divided into five regions, with one of those regions being Southern California. The County of Orange and the City of Irvine is in the Southern California region. 

Bond Fire in Silverado Canyon Area - No Threat to Irvine 12/03/2020

The City of Irvine continues to monitor the Bond Fire. The Irvine Police Department has LIFTED the previously issued evacuation warning for the Orchard Hills area of the City of Irvine. Residents who voluntarily evacuated may return to their homes.

The City of Irvine is modifying its Swearing-In Ceremony for its newly elected mayor and councilmembers on Tuesday, December 8 to better protect the health and safety of the community. The ceremony will be held in the Council Chamber at City Hall and public attendance will no longer be permitted.

Holiday Tree Recycling

Waste Management will collect and recycle Christmas trees, starting on January 2, for three consecutive weeks at no additional charge. Trees will be collected at the curb and picked up by special flatbed trucks, or you may cut your tree and place the pieces in your green waste cart. Environmental Programs
