City of Irvine Launches New Shuttle Service, Irvine CONNECT

The City of Irvine is excited to launch Irvine CONNECT, a new, free shuttle service for community members and visitors. Beginning April 1, 2024, the Irvine CONNECT will travel between the northern end of Irvine to Irvine Station, with stops at parks, schools, hospitals, and shopping centers.

The shuttle service will be available from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends at no charge to residents and visitors. Shuttle frequency will be every 20 minutes. Bike racks will be mounted on the front of the buses. Service animals will be allowed on board as well as small pets in a pet carrier.

“Connection is key to our master-planned community and thriving City,” said Mayor Farrah N. Khan. “The new shuttle service will bring residents and visitors to popular destinations and benefit the community and the environment through increased accessibility and sustainability options.”

The shuttle will have more than 70 stops on its route, including key destinations:

  • Sierra Vista and Lakeside middle schools
  • Irvine and Woodbridge high schools
  • Lakeview Senior Center
  • Northwood and Heritage community parks
  • Kaiser Permanente and Hoag hospitals
  • Northwood Town Center
  • Retail centers on Alton Parkway and Barranca Parkway
  • Irvine Spectrum Center
  • Irvine Station
