As part of the City of Irvine's ongoing promotion of its environmental programs and sustainability goals, Environmental Programs will be hosting an Induction Cooking Workshop & Demonstration Thursday, September 1, at 6 p.m. at Irvine Fine Arts Center. The event will span one hour and will feature local award-winning chef Katie Chin, who will demonstrate how to make various ethnically diverse dishes on an all-electric induction cooktop, as well as discuss the benefits of switching from a gas range to all-electric. The event will be co-hosted by Irvine Mayor Farrah N.
