Senate Bill 1383 (SB 1383) is a state law that requires every resident and business to recycle organic waste in an effort to reduce methane emissions. Organic waste in landfills emits 20% of the state’s methane, a pollutant 84 times more potent than carbon dioxide.

Since the beginning of the 20th century, Southern California has been a rich subject matter for artists across the state. From the plein air Impressionist painters who made Laguna Beach home to mid-century Abstract Expressionism and Minimalism, the Golden State’s landscape, geography, and geological characteristics have inspired artists across generations.
Irvine residents can receive up to three pre-packaged bags (20 pounds per bag) of free compost. Compost will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
