Local community organizations provide virtual presentations on topics of interest to the senior community. During a large-scale disaster, the response of any community’s emergency services may be delayed or overwhelmed for a variety of reasons. This leaves the citizens of the community - family, neighbors, and co-workers - to provide for their own well-being and safety until professional responders...
The City of Irvine is pleased to welcome a delegation of Special Olympics athletes, coaches, team staff and delegation liaisons from Korea.
Come out and show your support as the athletes march in a celebration parade on Wednesday at the Irvine Spectrum Center beginning in front of the Edwards 21 Theater.
Nutritious meals delivered to qualifying homebound Irvine senior residents each week. Available on a donation basis; no qualifying senior is turned away due to inability to donate. Specifically created by our registered dietitian to meet the nutritional needs of older adults, each delivery consists of three meals. Daily Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday–Friday.
- A hot ready-to-eat meal
- A nutritious frozen meal to heat for dinner
- A breakfast meal to be eaten the following morning
Who Qualifies
Support groups are designed to help you deal with physical, emotional, and/or care-giving demands that may overtax your coping abilities. Ask a Nurse
One-on-one consultations with a community nurse to address health concerns, collaborate on better care planning, and continued education to help you take better care of yourself. Appointment required.
