Tom Brown: In the Open Air is an exhibition featuring vibrant impressionistic oil paintings of Orange County landscapes. This exhibition will also include lectures, workshops, a canvas installation detailing the painting process in weekly progressions and a collection of Plein Air work created by Mr. Brown's former students.

The Orange County Great Park is located off the 5 of 405 freeways at Sand Canyon and Marine Way in Irvine.

The Administration division directs the day-to-day operations of the department by establishing and implementing priorities, policies and procedures. It oversees purchasing functions for the City and provides long-range planning for the department's three other divisions: Business Planning and Budget, Fiscal Services and Human Resources. In addition, the division supports the Finance Commission.

Purchasing Information

The City of Irvine, in partnership with the Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee, is collecting personal items for welcome home packages for the City’s adopted 2/11 Marine Battalion returning home from deployment.

The collection drive runs through Friday, May 29.

Suggested donation items include:
• Towels/washcloths
• Men’s body wash/shower gel (Axe or Dove are preferred brands)
• Individually wrapped snacks (Granola bars, beef jerky or protein bars)
• Single-serve drink powder mix packets (Gatorade, Propel or Hawaiian Punch)

The Public Works Landscape Maintenance Division maintains over 1,700 acres of parks, greenbelts, and street landscapes including Great Park, 23 community parks, 39 neighborhood parks, and seven specialty facilities which include Central Bark Park, trailheads, and the Irvine Transportation Center. The Division also maintains over 76,000 trees.
