Team tennis allows players to play with other players against different teams of the same level. Join a team with friends or make new friends on teams for adults and juniors. Click on league titles below for more information.

Tennis Time Limits (includes warm up time):

  • Individual (30 minutes)
  • Practice/Rallying, Singles and Doubles (60 minutes)

Pickleball and Badminton Time Limits (includes warm up time):

  • Individual and Singles (30 minutes)
  • Doubles (60 minutes)

Open courts are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please use the waiting board where available. 

The City of Irvine tennis and pickleball program offers a wide variety of classes, camps, leagues and tournaments for all ages and skill levels. Read the reference guide below to help in choosing the level of play best fitting your skills and needs.

Levels

Beginner (B): First-time players learn basic grips, strokes and scoring. NTRP level 2.0/2.5

Advanced Beginner (AB): Can hit forehands, backhands, volleys, serves and keep score. Work on overheads, lobs, control and consistency. NTRP level 3.0/3.5

Junior Lessons

On a limited basis, grassy areas of the park may be available for reservation subject to all City reservation policies. Please note: All commercial use including boot camps and fitness activities require approval through the reservation process. Boot camps and exercise permits are allowed at the following locations:

The Irvine Fine Arts Center will host a photo and video exhibit of the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2013 that was held at the Orange County Great Park.

The exhibit runs September 14-October 10 at Heritage Park. City employee Cliff Wallace and the City’s ICTV team will contribute to the display.

The Solar Decathlon returns this October to the Great Park.
