Bommer Canyon Preserve Cattle Camp

The Cattle Camp’s traditional reservation season is April–October.

Bommer Canyon Preserve Cattle Camp is available for the community to rent for parties, company picnics, weddings, and family reunions. Covered by a lush sycamore canopy, the newly restored Bommer Canyon Preserve maintains a modern yet rustic design and includes a major restoration of the Cattle Camp, featuring:

  • A 15-acre event space stage and backstage room.
  • Newly renovated Chuck Wagon kitchen with modern amenities.
  • An updated restroom building with flushable toilets. 
  • New picnic tables and ADA accessible pathways.

The Bommer Canyon Preserve Cattle Camp area must be reserved as a whole; individual amenities within the camp cannot be rented on their own. The Cattle Camp is subject to closures due to inclement weather, fire, and watershed conditions.

Bommer Canyon Preserve's 15-acre rustic Cattle Camp includes long banquet-style picnic tables, a sycamore canopy, a covered stage area, open space, and more. 

 

 

Policies & Fees

The City of Irvine Community Services Reservation Policy is established to ensure that the use of City facilities and parks aligns with City values, provides fair access to all users, remains fair priced, operates in a fiscally responsible manner, and supports a safe and sustainable community.

The Community Facilities Reservation Policy and Community Facility Fees will detail the category rates and permit hours for each site, and identify additional fees for events requiring alcohol service, filming, or equipment rentals.
