A Tree Removal Permit is Required For

  • Trees located in the public right-of-way (including the landscaped median next to the sidewalk of most homes and buildings, or along the paseo, or open space of the side or rear yard areas)
  • Trees considered significant by the City of Irvine Municipal Code, including trees in established eucalyptus windrows

The City of Irvine is offering COVID-19 vaccinations at convenient neighborhood locations on weekends and evenings to provide more opportunities for the public to get vaccinated. Appointments are required and can be scheduled at yourirvine.org. All vaccines are administered free of charge.

Overview

  • A Seasonal Agricultural Sales Permit is required for: 
    • Christmas tree lots (including those at supermarkets and hardware stores) 
    • Pumpkin patches, fruit and vegetable stands located on agriculturally-zoned land, which operate at limited times of the year

  • If your project meets the following criteria, you will be able to submit your application through the Automated Online Permit system: 
    • Involves no more than 10 electrical fixtures and/or outlets, indoors or outdoors (see Residential Kitchen Lighting Worksheet/WS-5R which will accompany your permit. Lighting in bathrooms, garages, laundry rooms and utility rooms must be either high efficacy or shall be controlled by an occupant sensor.)
