Irvine Public Library cards are free and available to California residents. To receive an Irvine Public Library card, you will need:
- A photo ID
- Proof of California residence (a Driver's License or state issued ID is acceptable)
Please note:
- A parent or guardian must be present to register their child for a library card.
- The library card applicant must be present to receive their library card.
Sign up for a library card at any of our events in June or July, or drop by University Park and Heritage Park Community Centers to get your library card on the following dates:
University Community Center:
- Wednesday, June 11; 4-6 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 25; 4-6 p.m.
Heritage Community Center:
- Wednesday, June 18; 4-6 p.m.
- Wednesday, July 2; 4-6 p.m.
Once you have your library card, you will be able to check out up to three items at our Pop-up Library events in June and July, and access our digital library resources. The full capabilities of your library card will be accessible when the Irvine Public Library locations open in August. Watch this page for more information!
