E-Bikes are bicycles equipped with fully operable pedals and electric motors of less than 750 watts. E-Bikes come in 3 classes: Class 1 E-Bikes are pedal assisted with motors that provide assistance up to 20 MPH. Class 2 E-Bikes may be propelled with a throttle without use of pedals (they must still be equipped with working pedals) and have a maximum assisted speed of 20 MPH. Class 3 E-Bikes are pedal assisted with motors that provide assistance up to 28 MPH.
In partnership with the City of Irvine, Waste Management is hosting a free paper-shredding event Saturday, January 28, 9–11 a.m. at Lakeview Senior Center. Irvine residents can safely and securely dispose of up to five banker-size file boxes. The event is first-come, first-served and will end early if truck capacity is reached. Customers who wish to watch their paper be shredded will need to park in a designated area away from the truck and staff.
2023 U.S. Masters Swimming Spring Nationals
In 2022, the City of Irvine approved the Great Park Framework Plan to guide the next phase of development. The plan’s initial phase brings 300 acres of exciting new park amenities, including a world-class outdoor amphitheater, new cultural attractions, and expansive space dedicated to unprogrammed passive enjoyment. The next phase draws on extensive community input to deliver an expanding array of new opportunities to secure the park’s place among the world’s greatest metropolitan parks.
