Planning Commission

The Planning Commission's role is to review and make decisions on various land use applications. The Commission also makes recommendations to the City Council regarding amendments to the General Plan and Zoning Ordinance.

Planning Commission meetings are held every first and third Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the City's Council Chambers.

Irvine residents can receive up to three pre-packaged bags (20 pounds per bag) of free compost. Compost will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The City of Irvine invites the community to share input on Northwood Community Park playground improvements at an outreach meeting Monday, May 19, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Northwood Community Center.

The Northwood Community Park Improvement Project is designed to enhance park amenities and incorporate accessibility improvements, ensuring the space meets the needs of local residents. In honor of Harvey Milk Day and June Pride Month, the City of Irvine will host its fourth annual Pride in Irvine event Thursday, May 22, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Irvine Civic Center Piazza. Join us as we raise the Progress Flag in front of City Hall in recognition and support of our LGBTQIA+ community.
