Celebrate autumn by creating your own succulent centerpiece. Learn about starting new succulent plants from cuttings and which types work best for centerpieces.

This is a demonstration-based workshop. No supplies will be provided or needed; participants will watch and be able to take what they've learned back home to work on a craft at their leisure.

Reducing, recycling, and reusing is something the whole family can get involved in. Come join us to learn about some fun and easy "kid friendly" recycling ideas, using what you might throw away to create something new and useful.

Dress up the garden by creating sparkling, jeweled ornaments from old CDs. These spinners will shine rays of light across the garden on sunny days, provide color and sparkle on cloudy days. Bring an old CD from home and we’ll supply the jewels.

Kick off the season with the lighting of the Civic Center holiday tree, and join us for an evening of holiday cheer. The event will include visits with Santa Claus, live holiday music, and a winter-themed train route. Guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped gift suitable for infants or children up to age 12. Toy donations aid the Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee Holiday Toy Drive, which benefits the families of Irvine’s adopted 2/11 Marine Battalion.

The Irvine Fine Arts Center invites the community to its 39th annual Holiday Faire November 6, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. This year’s event will be held entirely outdoors at the Great Park’s Palm Court Arts Complex and features more than 50 local artists displaying and selling their unique handmade gifts for purchase including holiday decorations, hand-blown glass, ceramics, jewelry, folk crafts, clothing, and more.
