Exploring Our World & International Film Series

Irvine Korean Evergreen Association (IKEA) is a nonprofit organization providing opportunities for older Korean-Americans to continue their involvement in the community. They offer a variety of beginning level music classes, health education workshops, as well as provide linkage to resources and information on low income housing. All classes have a minimal fee and are taught in Korean.

Irvine Evergreen Chinese Senior Association (IECSA) is a non-profit organization that is independently run without any political or religious affiliation. Our mission is to encourage a social network enhancing the quality of life for the Chinese seniors that live in Irvine. The IECSA bulletin board at Lakeview Senior Center posts a schedule of monthly activities, events and information that are beneficial to aging adults. We like to hear your ideas and suggestions. A suggestion box is located at the front desk at Lakeview Senior Center. 

Friends of Outreach is a non-profit, 501 (c) 3, all volunteer, Irvine based organization that helps support the City of Irvine senior outreach programs. The organization conducts service projects, fund-raising programs and weekly social activities at Lakeview Senior Center.  Activities are open to all, community members are encouraged to join, participate and make friends while serving a worthy cause.

2024 Special Events​

Diwali  

October 18. Celebrate Diwali, a popular and festive Indian tradition to welcome the New Year. Enjoy cultural entertainment and light refreshments. Presented by Ektaa Center: South Asian Senior Association. Diwali will take place Friday, October 18, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Lakeview Senior Center. Registration is required at yourirvine.org. Fee is $10 per person.   

Education Lectures

Local community organizations provide virtual presentations on topics of interest to the senior community. Lectures will be conducted via Zoom, the City of Irvine’s official video conferencing software. For a listing of upcoming presentations and to register, visit yourirvine.org.
