Crime victims are afforded specific rights and there are many resources and support services available to assist during what may be a difficult time. Our goal is to assign most crime reports to a detective as soon as possible; this happens sooner for more serious crimes. This detective is the person who may contact you with additional questions or information and will be your point of contact for any questions you may have regarding the investigation. To determine the detective assigned to your case, please contact the front desk at the Irvine Police Department at 949-724-7000.

WHAT IS RETURN HOME REGISTRY?

The Irvine Police Department’s Return Home Registry is designed to assist officers in locating lost or wondering persons when they go missing from their family or caregivers. This database provides officers with the vital information they need to assist in locating and reunification of your loved one. The Return Home Registry’s goal is to reunite families as soon as possible.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Once a person has been entered into the Registry it assists from two angles:

Welcome to the City of Irvine Parking Information Section.  The City of Irvine forbids parking in red zones or where signs prohibit same, pursuant to Municipal Code Section 6-3-573.  This municipal code is designed not only to improve the aesthetics of the community, but it also allows for greater public safety.

Mission

Working in partnership with the community, we will preserve the peace, uphold the law with fairness and provide quality service.

Vision

We will engage with our community through exemplary service and unparalleled professionalism, while employing a staff that reflects the growth and diversity of our community.

We will commit to implementing the latest technology and best practices to meet the demands of modern policing.

In order to provide the highest level of quality service, Irvine is divided into three geographic areas.  Each geographic area is lead by an Area Lieutenant supported by a team of supervisors, patrol officers, traffic officers, investigators and civilian support staff. This policing model allows these personnel to be more familiar with the people that live and work in their area.
