Resident Appreciation

The City of Irvine provides opportunities for residents to recognize friends and family through placement of plaques on seating walls throughout Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park, or with the placement of memorial benches in City parks and facilities.

Resident Appreciation Plaques at Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park

Those residents who do not qualify for the Wall of Recognition or Military Memorial may be recognized with a plaque on a seating wall. Recognized individuals must have been an Irvine resident. A resident is defined as an individual who has lived, been employed, or been a student of a school within Irvine. The cost for the plaque is $250. Resident Appreciation Memorial Benches

Memorial Benches are a wonderful way to commemorate a loved one. Recognized individuals must have been an Irvine resident. A resident is defined as an individual who has lived, been employed, or been a student of a school within Irvine. Bench locations must be on City-owned property and are subject to approval by the City of Irvine. Those wishing to purchase a memorial bench are asked to cover the cost of the new bench as well as the plaque. For information about memorial benches, please contact Deputy Director Corey Lakin at 949-724-6790 or clakin@cityofirvine.org.
