Grab your swimsuit, friends, and family, and head to William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center for a fun-filled evening in the pool and a screening of Shrek. Lifeguards will be on duty. Pool opens at 6:30 p.m. Shrek starts at 7:15 p.m.
Families can bring floaties to the event and exchange them for a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket through the City’s Floatie Exchange program, an initiative supporting ongoing efforts to ensure a water-safe summer. Life jackets are available for children ages 6 and younger while supplies last.

The City of Irvine, in partnership with South Coast Chinese Cultural Center, will gather the community for the fourth annual Mid-Autumn Festival at the Great Park Friday, September 26, from 5 to 9:30 p.m.
Explore unique cultural displays and discover valuable resources provided by local community organizations. This family-friendly festival will feature educational displays, live entertainment, crafts, specialty food trucks, artistic demonstrations, and more.
In partnership with the City of Irvine, Waste Management is hosting a free paper-shredding event Saturday, October 25, 9–11 a.m. at Lakeview Senior Center.
Irvine residents can safely and securely dispose of up to five banker-size file boxes. The event is first-come, first-served and will end early if truck capacity is reached. Customers who wish to watch their paper be shredded will need to park in a designated area away from the truck and staff.
The Irvine Public Library (IPL) has public computers available for use. IPL cardholders may access the library’s computers for two hours per day. These computers offer filtered Internet access and standard Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Free public WiFi is available throughout all Irvine Public Library locations.
Printing and Photocopy services are available with 8.5 x 11” paper. Copies cost $0.15 per black and white page and $0.50 per color page.
