The 2025 Irvine Global Village Festival is Saturday, October 11, 10 a.m.–6 p.m., at Great Park. This year marks the 24th anniversary of Irvine's premier multicultural community event, and features food, art, music, and kids activities. Kick off "Holidayz at the Park" with Art on a Sock. Create a stocking to hang by the chimney with care, as our local artist provides a step-by-step lesson to paint a fun and festive design. Space is limited; register by 3 p.m. Wednesday, November 20. $40 per person; fee includes project supplies. Ages 5+.
Hang out with a pal or make new ones at this special holiday mixology class. Learn to make trendy, festive mocktails, and create a beautiful take-home fall table decoration. Ages 21+.

Scholastic chess players are invited to challenge their minds at the 44th Staser Chess Tournament. It features a free K–8 non-rated section and a United States Chess Federation K–12 rated section for an entry fee. Registration required by Wednesday, November 13, at 3 p.m. Register at yourirvine.org. No late or on-site registration available.
