Purpose and Mission: The Health & Wellness Advisory Committee was established to support the City of Irvine’s expanding health and wellness efforts. Its mission is to review, advise, and collaborate on initiatives related to children, youth, and family programs, housing assistance, supportive services, and community wellness programming. The Committee serves as a liaison between the City and the community, promotes City events, shares community feedback, and reports annually on progress and accomplishments.

In March 2025, the California Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) released its 2025 Recommended Local Responsibility Area Fire Hazard Severity Zone map for the state of California, including Irvine.

The 2025 Local Responsibility Area Fire Hazard Severity Map is developed by Cal Fire using the latest climate data, fire history, topography, and wildfire modeling to classify areas as Moderate, High, or Very High fire hazard zones.
