Irvine Public Library Grand Opening
The Story Starts Here
Sunday, August 3
Heritage Park Library: 1 – 4 p.m.
University Park Library: 2 – 5 p.m.
You're invited to join us for a special day of celebration as we turn the page on a new chapter for Irvine's libraries! Both locations will host a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony, followed by an afternoon of fun, discovery, and community connection for all ages.
Enjoy festivities including:
- Live entertainment and interactive activities
- Celebration stations:
- Decorate a bookmark
- Create friendship bracelets
- Craft a miniature catapult
- Add to an oversized community coloring sheet
- Library-themed scavenger hunt
- Balloon animals from the Assisteens of Irvine
- Light refreshments and giveaways
- A designated sensory-friendly corner for quiet breaks
While you celebrate, take time to explore the refreshed library spaces, connect with staff, sign up for a library card, and start enjoying the collections. We look forward to celebrating with you!
