Irvine residents can receive up to three pre-packaged bags (20 pounds per bag) of free compost. Compost will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Compost will be given away at the Great Park in Lot #8, next to Wild Rivers. View directions and a parking guide here.

Take control of your health and wellness. This outdoor event will include community recourses, health screenings, fitness demonstrations, educational presentations, and a wide variety of exhibitors showcasing products, services, and information related to wellness, safety, nutrition, and more. In an effort to address the growing blood supply crisis in Orange County, the City of Irvine and UCI Health are partnering together to host a blood drive event Wednesday, September 11, 9 a.m.–3 p.m., at the Irvine Civic Center. Donations received will help provide critical care for patients at UCI Medical Center.

In partnership with the City of Irvine, Waste Management is hosting a free paper-shredding event.
Irvine residents can safely and securely dispose of up to five banker-size file boxes. The event is first-come, first-served and will end early if truck capacity is reached. Customers who wish to watch their paper be shredded will need to park in a designated area away from the truck and staff.
