Community Development Holiday Closure & Service Availability:

The Community Development Assistance Center, Planning Division, and Building and Safety Division will be closed December 23-27, with Inspection Services available on December 23rd, 26th, and 27th.

Online services will remain accessible throughout the holiday closure, including:

  • Uploading electronic planning and permit applications/documents
  • Checking application statuses
  • Accessing self-service permits

These services can be accessed 24 hours per day, 7 days a week via IrvineREADY.

Please note that plan review targets will be extended appropriately to accommodate the holiday closure.

Residential Permits on UCI Properties:

Effective August 1, 2024: All new applications for residential building permits on property owned by the University of California, Irvine (UCI) must be submitted to the Irvine Campus Housing Authority (ICHA). Please contact homeimprovements@icha.uci.edu for more information on all permitting and property improvements. All permit applications received prior to August 1, 2024 will be reviewed, issued, and/or inspected by the City of Irvine.
