City of Irvine CEQA Manual
PURPOSE:
The environmental review process seeks to identify environmental impacts that might be associated with a proposed project and to provide this information to decision-makers and the public. Common areas of environmental impact include traffic circulation, water quality, archaeological resources, vegetation, and wildlife. If significant impacts are identified, these must be reduced or mitigated as possible.
