Get Involved & Community Programs

Walkers and Bicyclists on paved trail

Growing Irvine’s urban forest is a shared effort. To achieve the City’s goal of 30% canopy coverage by 2055, it is essential to partner with residents, HOAs, businesses, and private property owners. Through community programs and partnerships, Irvine is making it easier for everyone to play a role in creating a greener, healthier, and more resilient city.

Plant It Forward

The City’s Plant It Forward initiative brings together community-based programs designed to expand Irvine’s tree canopy through public participation. Whether planting a tree at home or contributing to trees in public spaces, these programs provide meaningful ways for the community to get involved.
